Black Lava Stone (Batu Candi) is an extrusive igneous rock, formed from the rapid cooling of magnesium-rich and iron-rich lava. It is characterized by its dark color and unique vesicular texture (porous) caused by gas bubbles trapped during solidification.
These natural pores allow the stone to "breathe" and release heat quickly, making it an excellent thermal insulator. It is widely used in luxury resorts for wall cladding to maintain a cool indoor temperature and for pool decks due to its non-slip properties.
